The Haunting

Gallows Hill Road is a reportedly haunted roadside location in Cranford, New Jersey. Reports tied to the site usually focus on cold spots and abrupt shifts in atmosphere and roadside encounters and vanishing figures.

Reported account from HauntTracker: Located at the corner of Gallows Hill Road and Brookside Place was the huge tree from which spies were hung during the Revolution. The tree was cut down a few years ago, but the rusty iron and concrete post which the rope was tied to still stands.

Movement around the area can be seen late at night, but only from a distance. Personal experience was what seemed to be tall bushes swaying in a nonexistent breeze. Closer inspection showed no bushes just a well manicured lawn and a really creepy feeling.

Anyone researching the place in person should verify access first and stay within posted or legal boundaries.
