Eastern State Penitentiary pioneered the concept of solitary confinement, driving many inmates to madness. Visitors and staff report shadow figures moving through cells, disembodied voices echoing through the corridors, and the sound of cell doors slamming shut in empty blocks. Cell Block 12 is particularly active, with reports of a shadowy figure that appears to be an inmate still serving his sentence.
